The 3D Builder mobile app enables the user to scan an object with the phone’s camera. Microsoft informed the public of the decision to make the app available on Windows mobile devices at its hardware event in October. Since Windows phones are not yet compatible with all 3D printers, i.materialise will again be available to print the user’s selected object.
Online 3D printing service, i.materialise offer their services to those without their own 3D printer. Allowing users more platforms to print 3D content, the app can even by used by those without a 3D printer. The app was first released on Windows 10 PCs in 2014, but it can now be downloaded for free on mobile devices.
